Middletown High School's Wellness Center provides easy access to quality health care in a high school setting. Students in grades 9-12 enjoy a wide range of health and counseling services at no cost/low cost throughout the school day.
- Physical Health
Physical exams; sports physicals; minor illness or injury treatment; immunizations; allergy treatments; family physician follow-ups; and screenings for vision and growth are some of the services available.
- Mental Health
Counseling for drug and alcohol abuse, behavior problems, self-esteem enhancement, stress and anxiety intervention, family relationships, and more.
- Health Education
Programs designed to promote healthy and safe lifestyles, including smoking prevention/cessation, individual and group health education, HIV and AIDS education, responsible decision-making, healthy lifestyle habits and health promotion.
- Nutrition Education
Information on healthy eating, special diets, weight management and sports nutrition is available.
- Laboratory Tests
Routine lab work to test for anemia, strep throat, bladder/kidney infection, mono, diabetes...
Students must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Parental Consent Form (available below) and return it to the Wellness Center before receiving health care services. No services will be provided until a completed form is on file.
