Students in Grades 1-12 have the option of purchasing a nutritious
breakfast or lunch daily. These healthy meals contain 30% or less fat.
The same is true for most snack and a la carte items. Soda is not sold
at any of our schools during the regular school day. Beverage options
include water, 100% juice, milk, and ice tea (available for grades 9-12
only). We provide delicious meals that do not include fried foods, and
increase portion size as appropriate for middle- and high school
students. Parents concerned about the nutritional content of any food
item(s) may contact the Nutrition Services Manager at their local school
for a comprehensive printout.
If your student has special dietary restrictions (food allergies,
diabetes, congenital diseases, etc.) our Director, a registered
dietician, will be happy work with you to tailor an individual menu
plan. We strive to ensure that these meals are as close to the regular
selections as possible, so that your student feels "in step" with
his/her peers. These meals will be offered at the same price as our
normal selections.
Students who qualify may receive meals at free/reduced costs. To apply
for this program, pick up a Meal Benefit Form in the school office.

Pre-payment Option
Pre-payment of meals and snacks is available at each of our schools.
Participating students will be assigned a confidential PIN number at the
beginning of the school year, which will allow them to access an
individual account. The PIN number will remain the same during
throughout your student's tenure at his/her school, changing only upon
graduation to another building. Therefore, students are encouraged NOT
to share their
PIN number with other students.
Online Meal Payment: www.PayPAMS.com
As an Appoquinimink family, you can also pay for student meals from the
convenience of your home or office. Using the Parent Account Management
System - PAMS for short - parents can: 1) schedule an automatic payment,
2) view your child's meal account balance, 3) receive low balance email
reminders, or 4) view a report of your student's daily spending and
cafeteria purchases. A helpful handout, explaining how to register and
access the site, is available by clicking on the link below.
