Fund
raising to travel to world finals
The Appoquinimink School District will be
represented in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals by a team
from Olive B. Loss Elementary who, while coming in 2nd in their division, won an invitation to the World Finals by receiving the
Ranatra Fusca Award -- the highest honor given for creativity in problem
solving.
Local Bob Evans Restaurants have been
kind enough to offer Delaware'sOdyssey of the Mind teams an exciting fund
raising opportunity.
The restaurant chain has pledged to donate 15% of
all monies raised using the attached coupon to the state's World Finals teams,
helping to offset the enormous cost of transporting students and their gear to Iowa State University (site
of the 2009 internation competition). This promotion begins March 25 and ends
April 1.
