the Tournament of Bands
First Annual High School
Invitational hosted by Appoquinimink High!
When: Saturday, October
3
Time: 6:00 p.m. at Jaguar
Stadium
Tickets: $8/adults, $6/seniors and students
with I.D., FREE ages 6 and under
Ten great High Schools: Appoquinimink,
Brandywine, Cab Calloway, Caravel Academy, Concord, Glasgow, Laurel, Middletown, Smyrna and William Penn are already signed up and
more expected to join as they compete for the title of "Best
Band," "Best Percussion," and "Best Color Guard." We hope to fill Jaguar Stadium
to capacity with students, families, music fans and band
boosters from across the state.
Highlights
--Competition
begins at 6:00 p.m. under the lights and will continue until 10:00
p.m.
--Each band will play 3-4
selections.
--Prizes will be awarded for Best Band, Best
Percussion, and Best Color Guard.
--Schools receive a
trophy in the order of placement.
--Officiating provided
by the National Judges Association.
--A designated video
recording area will be permitted on the sidelines.
--As a
courtesy to our bands, please do not move while performances are
underway.
--Concessions including popcorn, sodas, hotdogs
and pizza will be sold.
Directions
FROM THE NORTH:
Take DE-299 to Middletown. Cross the intersection of
US-301, stay straight to go onto Bunker Hill Road. Follow
the traffic circle, turning lef into the
school.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take DE-71,
turn left onto Main Street/DE-299. Cross the intersection of
US-301, stay straight to go onto Bunker Hill Road. Follow
the traffic circle, turning left into
school.
