ABOUT OUR SCHOOL Middletown High School serves students in grades 9–12 throughout the Appoquinimink School District. The school boasts a large and diverse student population, yet retains the charm of a small-town school with its great sense of community. Originally opened in 1997, the facility had a two-story wing added in the Summer of 2002, together with an expansion of its cafeteria/lobby to create extra capacity.
The building is fully networked for computers, with Internet access in all classrooms, four computer labs, and a computer-aided drafting lab. The High School also houses a shared public/school library and state service center as well as an 830-seat auditorium and 1,200-seat gymnasium.
Middletown High is proud of its academic rigor, as witnessed by its strong performance on the state's standardized testing program, the DSTP. We invite you to learn more about our school by exploring this site. Whether you are a current member of the Middletown High "family," a prospective homeowner, or an alumni returning for a cyberspace homecoming, Middletown High School welcomes you!

REGISTRATION It is important that families new to the district or with children entering school for the first time register as early as possible. This allows time to adequately schedule classroom assignments and bus routes. Pre-registration is an option if you will be entering the district during the school year.
To register, you will need your child’s:
Birth certificate
Verifiable immunization record
Proof of residence (Real estate agreements are accepted)
Last Report Card, Custody Papers, Special Education Information (if applicable)
Please bring this information to the school your child will be attending. Be sure to call the school in advance to schedule a time to register. To save time, you may wish to begin the pre-registration process using the forms found in the Registration Section of our website.
